Continental Divide Charity Bicycle Ride-Day 9. 81 miles, 5600ft of climbing, 4100 calories. From Ash
We started a little later today since we got in late last night and our gracious hosts at the Timberline Golf Course made us a huge breakfast buffet. Had a 40 mile ride through the Targhee National Forest. Some sections were burnt up from a previous forest fire. We exited and rode through Grand Teton National Park. This is a very beautiful area as well. We finished the day by riding halfway up Togwotee pass to stay at The Togwotee Mountain Lodge.
We ran in to multiple other bicycle riders today. Most are from other countries. This is the crossing point of continental divide trail and the trnsamerica trail.
Physically we are becoming more used to the daily physical requirements of riding over difficult terrain for long distances. We do have various aches and pains but nothing of consequence.
