112.5 Miles on the Katy Trail Today. Raining for a lot of the day

Was a good day for training and testing out equipment and myself in the rains. Everything went well excepts I killed my MP3 player by getting water on it.

Katy Trail was very mushy in spots from the rain. Like riding through quicksand

You might think that the Katy Trail is an easy ride because it is flat. There are a couple things to consider, however. Because it is flat you have to always be pedaling. There are no coasting down hill areas. In addition, because it is gravel. It is more difficult to ride on than an asphalt road. Takes more power to go the same speed. Also works out more of your core and upper body with the constant jarring.
